Discolored, dark or stained teeth fixed with tooth whitening dentistry

Tooth bleaching involves the placement of a bleaching solution on the teeth to eliminate stains and discoloration. The solution is held in place by a custom-made, see-through tray that fits over the teeth. The custom trays are made in our office. At the delivery appointment we check the fit and dispense an At-Home-Bleaching Professional Gel (not to be confused with over-the-counter products from the local drug store). The bleaching may take up to four weeks of regular use.

Bleaching is a safe, effective and relatively easy means of producing a whiter smile. While not everyone is a candidate for bleaching, it can yield cost effective, easy and dramatic improvements for certain patients!

Sensitive teeth, or those that are chipped, eroded or weakened by cavities, may need to be repaired or protected before they are bleached.
